Mr Flash

Beautiful interlacing of music, film and visual arts, Mr. Flash’s career is nothing if not eclectic. After a somewhat conventional start in music, as a drummer and pianist at the age of 10, his adventurous spirit quicky led him to get off the beaten track and start making things the unusual way. Far from abandoning his artistic voice, he chose to enter the film industry where he spent a decade mastering the art of storytelling.

Tempestuous a bit, authentic and passionate, determinate and rebel without a cause, he followed his path no matter the ambush with one phrase in mind : « if you are truly wild at heart, you will fight for your dreams. »

As so, and because a first love is never really forgotten, his return to music was not as much a comeback as the logical continuation of his narrative journey. From then on, Mr. flash’s music became the source and means for his storytelling, a powerful way to craft compelling narratives through sounds. His work in the '90s at Virgin/Delabel introduced him to the pioneering French Touch movement, allowing him to develop his approach to music production even further and to work alongside icons such as Air and Motorbass. Key tracks like "Motorcycle Boy," "Disco Dynamite," "Flesh," "Midnight Blue," "T.R.O.Y.," "Couscous," "Domino Part A/B," and "Sonic Crusader" are emblematic of his genre-blending style and showcase his talent for creating a unique sound that invites audiences to discover the depth of his artistry.

Nowadays, Mr. Flash’s impact on popular culture is unquestionable. From his musical collabs with international artists like Sébastien Tellier, Action Bronson, Mr Oizo, Kanye West or Mos Def, to his stunning performances all over the world, Mr. Flash’s tracks are everywhere from high-profile campaigns (Chanel, Citroën, Renault) and TV series (Dr House, CSI: Vegas) to literal space, where they were brought at astronaut Thomas Pesquet’s request. The stage is also part of Mr. Flash’s territory, and his talent for showbusiness has been proven. With a global presence in clubs from Paris to Tokyo, his performances are as much about the music as they are about the experience.

His profound dedication to merging sound and vision, music and visual arts, is perfectly encapsulated in Heartbreakers Recordings, aiming at creating immersive artistic experiences that echo his early ‘99 project "Le Voyage Fantastique."

Time has passed. After his 14 years spent alongside Pedro Winter’s Ed Banger house of music, the motorcycle boy vanished into the night.
Some says he was dead, some others pretends he was seen in obscure « clandestino » bars around Tijuana. But despite rumors of his demise, after a few years spent in LA's City of Angels, Mr. Flash is back in France to launch his own imprint and develop his vision covering one only purpose: offering unique creations from producer to consumer straight.

As everything is a labour of love, and pain sometimes, his brand and music label Heartbreakers, is the perfect continuation of his musical career. Conceived as a way to restore the feeling of exclusivity music once had, this ultra-premium pop-up shop will display posters, sweatshirts and all sorts of lovely things  designed exclusively by Mr. Flash and available in very limited quantities. The entire production is environmentally conscious, with sustainable material and an anti-waste mindset. Giving life to his graphic side while being the logical sequel to his music, Heartbreakers has been developed by Mr. Flash with care and passion for the last few years and it will hold many surprises, including a new album…
